Memorial Day weekend
I realized recently it's been a while since I did anything with this, mainly because I haven't had any recent events I thought needed to go up here. Life continues in much the same fashion as the previous many-many months.
Jason, one of my oldest "currently active" friends recently broached the subject of getting a double apartment together in this area. I think we'd get along well as roomies, and it would definitely save me some money (I pay $775+utilities here, and there are good doubles here/there for $1100/mo), but it's kinda neat living totally solo. Altho when I do think about living by myself, most often it's to say "I talk to my cat way too much" or similar. Plus which, the deal/setup I have here is a really good one, and I really wonder if I could find one as good if I ever decided/needed to go out on my own again. If I go forward with this plan, I'd need to work very hard to save/invest the rent-savings so my next move, in a few years, can be into a small (I've seen places not much bigger than my apartment!) house if I so desire. I've already called a few places/numbers I've seen here/there for "apartment for rent," but have only left messages. I guess the landlord people are out for the holiday.
I spent some time planting tomators and green peppers in pots on my porch (the single physical feature I would miss if I moved out of here is my nearly-enclosed full-length 3rd floor porch/balcony) today, so hopefully in a month or so I'll have fresh veggies to greet me when I get home from work.
My cat spent most of the past hour asleep on my lap, and is now curling/twisting herself a nap-next in the blanket on the back of the couch.
Tomorrow morning, if I can get my ass outta bed early enough, I'm gonna fill the WRX with fuel (robbing a bank on the way to pay for it), take a morning rip along some nearby roads, and stop somewhere random for breffest. If I don't get out of bed early enough I'll go have breffest at the diner down the street and spend the day goofing around.
