Academy Award Winner
Well, an Opal Academy Award Winner, that is.
That's right - You are looking at a two-time Opal Award Winner, as I snagged my second Opal Award at Tourism Australia's Opal "Academy" Award Dinner last night, placing me firmly again in the Top 5 Aussie Specialists in North America (for those wondering, there are approximately 2500 Aussie Specialists and 133 Premier Agents - of which I am both a Premier and Opal Winner).
I honestly didn't think I'd win this time around, as I got the chance to see the entries of my fellow Specialists - some of which were damn impressive, and equally deserving of an award.
Words cannot express my joy.
As I said in my brief speech (brief, because I didn't think I could do it without crying - though afterwards everyone told me I should have cried - thank you to my fellow Premiers from the ATE last year, to Tourism Australia (especially Mark Punshon), to Tourism Queensland (especially Jonathon Day), to Kingfisher Bay Resort, Jeff Adams & AAT Kings, and to all the folks at Down Under Answers. Most importantly, though, thank you to my dear husband for putting up with me and watching the kids during my many bridal shows, and my two wonderful boys, who I wish could have been there with me.
