Actually, I think we're still waiting on Desecrates. I was so sure I'd be coming in last, this round. I'm at work, so I don't have the others' stories in front of me to read (more's the pity--I was done with my audit at 1:35 and have nothing to do until about 4:00 to 4:30). Figure I'll post some thoughts if anything jumps out at me. For my own part, my story weighed in around 430 words--apparently when I'm baffled by word lists, I go for brevity.
In other news, hardware troubles seems to abound in our little group. I was working on a friend's computer and was cruising merrily along--and then it locked me out, asking for a password that evidently does not exist (to the computer's owner, anyway). Then Edisen has webcam issues and internet woes. Korvur finds a few viruses on his system. My main flash drive is showing signs that it might be failing, and then my monitor on my home computer craps out! What a week!
I need to learn to bring my Unsung stuff with me to work. While I can't upload the changes to the source code, I could still work on "theoretical" code and upload the results when I get home again. I have yet to figure out how to make a reliable test server on my own system. I probably wouldn't do that on my laptop anyway--that strikes me as something important enough to keep on a home system. Eh, I'm rambling. Ignore me.
I'll reset the word list script this weekend.
