Surprisingly enough, I had a wolf dream at some point in the night.
It wasn't anything big. I don't really know what it was. It happened really just before I went to sleep.
I saw a large white wolf. Large maned, large bodied. Long legs, elegant figure to her. It was definitely a female. She had a soft look in her eyes, like a sorrowful look. She saw me, then I don't think she wanted me to see her at all. She ducked her head down, twisting it to the side, as if in sudden shyness. She was very timid it seemed...but there was such an air of nobility around her. I knew she was something special, but she seemed to shy towards me.
She moved off a bit, sidling over, looking back at me once or twice, and I knew that she wanted me to follow her. But at the moment, I didn't want to, because i knew, if I did now, I'd wake up exhausted. So I moved. I didn't follow. Not because I didn't want to, or couldn't, but because I was very tired, and I didn't ahve the energy to really spend the time trying to follow her paws.
We weren't in any defined place. A place maybe of darkness. But good darkness, ya know? A quiet, soft place. Her. And Me. We were just sort of there, alone in the quiet shadows.
She was quite beautiful. She shined, with an ethereal light, and her fur moved as if from a breeze. She seemed like the picture of ice, not of snow-white, but of ice-white, the clear translucent beauty that shines white. Her eyes shined from within, with a bright and clear life.
I would like to have followed her. And I am sorry now that I refused. But maybe another time. There are always other times, to walk the footprints of a wolf.
We'll see, I suppose. I"m not going to speculate as to her identity, as I know of at least 3 white wolves. Two of which are on my friend's list. So I suppose if it was one of them, they'd pipe up. I hope. o.0
*shrugs* If not, oh well. I don't mind.
