Author’s Note: Part of a multi-fandom collection of drabbles, vignettes and moments inspired by the titles of Christmas songs, which are also used as the titles of the aforementioned drabbles and ficlets. These writings may or may not actually have something to do with Christmas; they were merely inspired by the song titles. I was sick over the holidays, and thus bored. This seemed like a good idea at the time.

Aaron Hotchner
It had been a bad one, just like every other case. Hotch flinched when the lock clicked into place. All he wanted was to be with his wife and son, to reaffirm there was a reason to endure these trips through Hell.
Weary beyond telling, Hotch just lowered himself to sit on the stairs; he simply didn’t have the strength to do anything else. He listened to the big clock ticking in the den. It just emphasized how empty the house was.
Haley and Jack were gone. And according to the papers in his pocket, they were never coming back.

Dr. Spencer Reid
They say no news is good news - whoever THEY are. Reid isn’t so sure. He flips through the mail again, even shaking out the sale flyers.
Nothing.
Almost two months and no one has heard from Gideon. There had been nothing since the letter left behind when his friend and mentor - hell, his father figure - had just disappeared. No contact, not even a postcard, to let anyone know he was okay.
Reid wasn’t sure how much more uncertainty he could handle. He unconsciously squared his shoulders and tried to think positively.
Well, they do say no news is good news.

Penelope Garcia
Garcia sat up suddenly, struggling to catch her breath, trying to escape the gruesome images and the sound of screams haunting her. After several days spent analyzing video feeds and recordings, the nightmare had become part of her.
She rose from bed, wrapping the quilt around her shaking body and went into the living room. She found the movie projector’s on switch and played the reel of her family, watching as her young and innocent self danced across a green lawn. She lost herself in the silent movie until they erased the nightmare and she no longer heard women scream.
