It's hot. And humid. And my feet hurt from my new blisters. And I had to defrost the fridge tonight - the old-fashioned way: putting in pans of hot water and chipping away at the ice.
I really don't like summers. My apartment is a heat trap. No airconditioning. No breeze. And being in the basement I have to close the window when I go to bed to prevent any nocturnal visitors.
I'm grumpy. The high heat/humidity always does that to me.
::sigh::
I worked it out. From the office to home is about 2.5 miles. Won't be walking that tomorrow with the blisters, but I can probably do the 1 mile to catch the bus that'll take me grocery shopping.
I should probably try for bed. Not that I expect to actually sleep, but maybe I can pass out for a couple of hours.
On the bright side, I managed to get in another drabble.

Ripped From This Headline "You and your bright ideas. Some shortcut," she scoffed.
He looked insulted. "It's a good shortcut. All we had to do was cut across
the park."
"Well we're not saving a lot of time, now are we?" She pulled her shoes off
and tried to wipe off the syrupy mess.
Her consolation was that she was wearing inexpensive sandals. He, on the
other hand, was pouring the liquid out of his expensive shoes.
"I guess we better call in," he sighed.
"Uh-uh. It's your shortcut, you make the call."
She grinned as she listened.
"Well, there was this giant popsicle."
-FIN-
Grumpiness aside, I'm also easily amused.
