Traditions

Christmas season begins tonight. ::bounces::

Seriously.

For me, it is virtually impossible to get into the Christmas mood unless I engage in one very special, very specific, very important tradition: How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I don't mean that bastardization abomination courtesy of Jim Carrey. I mean the animated delight.

Every year - yes, every year - since it first aired, I have watched this on CBC. That's what...about 40 years? And for me, this is such a tradition that the Christmas season cannot possibly begin until I have curled up in a comfy chair, wrapped in a blanket, glass of milk in hand (teddy bear optional) with lights out and watched this.

My friends laugh at me, but this is my tradition. And I shall honour it. Tonight.

YAY!! Ahem.

Of course, I do have it on DVD, but the first time should always be on CBC. ::nods::

On another seasonal note, nicked this from cincoflex:

You Are Prancer

You are the perfect reindeer, with perfect hooves and perfect flying form.

Why You're Naughty: Because you're Santa's pet, and you won't let anyone show you up.

Why You're Nice: You have the softest fur and the sweetest carrot breath.
Which of Santa's Reindeer Are You?

::hysterical laughter that will not subside::

That's just... ::snerk::
