So. Yesterday on the way to work I stop at the little coffee shop - as usual - and order a caffeine source and a muffin (also as usual), grab the paper (usual) and then... not so usual.
I reached into my purse and pulled out my bus pass, which I then showed the Coffee Master. He looked a little confused just as I realized something wasn't quite right. But it was too late to hide what I'd done.
"Oh," says I, "I guess that's not going to get me anything here."
"Well," says he, "I mean, thanks for showing me that, so I guess now you can...shop...here?"

Yeah. Let's just put it down to a Monday, yes?
Today when I stopped in I used actual money for my purchase. He appreciated it, saying they don't really take bus passes, building access cards, library cards... *facepalm*
