Leif Erickson is in heat.
And I'm not talking about strange male adolescent behaviour kind of heat, I'm talking about the he's a she kind of heat.
While it's a relief there's nothing wrong with my cat, I'm now slightly concerned we could be expecting kittens. I wouldn't mind if maybe it were one or two but more than that I couldn't handle.
It's just not the same calling him (her?) 'handsome princess' to get her (his?) attention.
Oh god here's that mewing again. Her pheromones have attracted 4 large (obviously fertile) male cats who have been perched outside waiting. Oppositely, Little Bastard is nowhere to be seen! All this strange behaviour makes PMS seem so natural.
I think once I have Leif spayed I'll opt for gender neutral. And maybe change the spelling to 'Leaf'.
