Costa Rica: at the Parador Hotel

The ubiquitous Tropical Kingbird. These are really odd bird, in that they often look like something else, and you think you have found an interesting bird, but it's just one of these. Our bird guide used to give us a "strike" if we pointed to one and said, "Oooh, look ..."!
An immature Summer tanager - the adult males are bright red, but the immature and female birds can look really patchy and odd.
