Whohooo! My vids have been restored!

I have two YouTube accounts - on one the copyright strike claim is still stuck somewhere in never-never land, but on the other I was finally notified today that my vids have been restored! on both I got my vids restored and my copyright strikes removed.

Congrats! I don't get what their problem is with fanvids, surely it's a form of advertising for their show? It's not like you get complete episodes, or even complete scenes all that often in them! For people who don't know the show, it's a teaser/trailer, surely?!

I think the problem is that it's an automatic audio track recognition software, so if there's a match, there's a match. You can't argue with robots.

Until now video was picked up manually, resulting in a copyright-strike. But I noticed that recently, it started being blocked automatically, which doesn't count as a strike. Which is great - it's blocked, I dispute it, my vid is restored and that's the end of the story. I don't have to wait a month for them to process things.
