Yuletide 2015 Requests
My letter for the Yuletide.
Just one note I forgot. It should be obvious from the content of my requests but please don't write any porn. Most of my requests are non-romantic anyway, but just to be sure I wanted to make that point clear. That's the only point that applies to all my requests.
境界線上のホライゾン | Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon | Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere
Characters: Aoi Toori, Honda Masazumi
I am in love with their weird relationship. I don’t see them in romantic light, but as this sort of friends/co-workers who really complement each other. Also, I love how Toori often supports Masazumi in both big and small ways, and how he believes in her. And Masazumi who has no idea what to think of Toori, because nobody knows what exactly think of Toori, since he is weird and confusing, but at the same time there is something cunning about him.
As I said, no romance. Just their usual interactions would be nice. I think something set between Masazumi’s arrival on Musashi, but before the Mikawa would be nice. Maybe how Toori was helping Masazumi get used to living on Musashi and her initial bewilderment at the crazy people and happenings around her. Or maybe some scenes from the student council election and Masazumi’s feelings about Toori’s candidacy for the president’s seat. She admitted she went for the vice-president’s position rather than president’s one, because she knew Toori was aiming for president’s seat, but it was obvious she had complex feelings about it. Some other scenes would also be fine, maybe some discussion between the two of them during their stay in England about their current situation. Or something else entirely, whatever you want, dear writer. I don’t want any sort of great happenings just two of them interacting as always. For a more comedic angle I may suggest Masazumi trying to improve her jokes, because she wants to make people laugh to prove she can also do a comedic routine, but somehow it ends up with her trying to make Toori laugh, because she wants to use this opportunity to do something nice for him.

Characters: Hikigaya Hachiman, Isshiki Iroha, Totsuka Saika
I ship Hachiman with both Iroha and Saika, but friendship is also okay for me. That being said, I’m also okay with concentrating only on relationship between Iroha and Hachiman or Saika and Hachiman, while disregarding the third person in the tag. Whatever will be easier to write for you, dear writer. I want something comedic or slice-of-life sort, pretty much in line with the canon. If you want to go with a more insightful approach into the relationship between the characters it’s also okay. I just don’t want any tragedies and broken hearts, however, characters having problems or being sad are fine as long as the fic ends happily for all three characters. Inclusion of other characters is totally fine.
I want some nice portrayal of the relationship between the Hachiman and the other two. I love the supportive relationship he has with Saika and the teasing interactions with Iroha, where you can see that those two are birds of a feather. For some ideas, maybe Iroha roping Hachiman into going shopping for some things for student council. Saika learns of that and offers to go together with Hachiman and as a result the three of them end up on a shopping trip, but they quickly end up being side-tracked and the whole trip ends up being more fun than Hachiman ever though it would be.
I know Saika and Iroha hadn’t interacted much, if at all in the story, which is why I said it’s okay to not include one of them. If you are, however, up to the challenge of showing them interact I think the two of them would actually get along. Iroha would probably suspect that Saika is a cute manipulative type just like her and comically misread some of his actions. She may even amp her moe factor to prove that she is more cute than him. Saika would probably be confused and just go along with flow, while Hachiman is slowly dying of cuteness thinking that if this is how he is to die then he can die happy. Also, while I won’t mind some rivalry, I don’t want any serious antagonism between the two of them (i.e. bullying or saying hurtful things on purpose).
Some other ideas: some sort of equipment is stolen from the tennis club. Iroha and Saika request the help of the club to find the culprit and as a result Hachiman sets on a detective like investigation with Iroha and Saika in tow. Hachiman pretends he is merely trying to do his job, but inwardly he actually enjoys solving a case like that and feeling like a character from a novel. His enjoyment is absolutely transparent to both Iroha and Saika.
Fate/stay night (Visual Novel)
Characters: Kotomine Kirei, Tohsaka Rin
I find their relationship extremely interesting and complex, which is why I would love to see some fic tackling it. They have this dysfunctional student-teacher relationship, which consists of Rin’s severe distrust and Kirei’s evil intention, and yet despite everything it somehow works. Or maybe more like it is forced to work.
Anyway, I would probably like some scenes from between F/Z and F/SN. While Rin seems to have mostly done self-study when it comes to magic, Kirei seemed to have been teaching her martial arts (since their specials in Fate/Unlimited Codes are almost identical), and considering his experience it would make sense if he was the one to supervise her martial arts training. Also it is implied he was the one to help her prepare for the upcoming grail war as the only person she knew that had actually survived the ordeal. Also, despite his intentions, Kirei seems to have successfully prepared Rin to face the Grail war skill-wise. He of course concealed the information about the true nature of Grail war, and did pretty much nothing to help her prepare emotionally, but aside from that it seems that he had prepared her well enough to meet the challenge. Meanwhile Rin had some really complex feelings about him, since she had always blamed Kirei for her father’s death, while probably realizing that it was childish of her and she should not push blame on Kirei, but because he is so good at making her lose her poise, she finds it easier to dislike him.
So I would like some story tackling this strange relationship of theirs. As I said, I would probably like some snippets with their interactions between F/Z and F/SN, but something else is also fine. Maybe story about Rin trying to get her feelings in order after Kirei confessed he killed Tokiomi in UBW. The plot passed over this part quickly, because there were other things Rin and co needed to deal with at the time, but I don’t think it was easy on her to learn that a person she knew for more than ten years had betrayed her in such a way. On one hand, she was probably angry and disappointed in him because he turned out to be such a horrible person, but on the other she probably felt some pang of sadness about his death, because you don’t get easily over the death of your guardian who was one of few adults who supported her during those ten years, even if he turned out to be a horrible person.
I also won’t mind an AU in this case. Maybe an alternative version of Grail war, when their confrontation goes differently. Maybe Kirei revealing the truth in some different circumstances to Rin, who is holding Azoth Sword in her hand and attempts to extract her revenge. Or maybe Kirei is dying and Rin finds him and he chooses to tell her the truth about her father’s death, because he is a jerk like that and he wants her to know she was betrayed, and Rin feels extremely angry, but also powerless because Kirei is about to die anyway. If you want, dear writer, you may also go for an AU different from the Grail war, as long as the relationship between the characters remains unchanged. Maybe some wizard AU, without Grail war in the picture.
Don’t make mistake, though, I don’t expect any absolution for Kirei. What he did was wrong and horrible. There’s no arguing about that.
Also, if you want to pair Rin with someone, I’m fine with either Shirou, Archer, Saber or Mitsuzuri. I like the last two choices the most, but feel free to choose from this pool if it matches your shipping preferences.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Characters: Protagonist, Naoya
Okay, this one doesn’t even need an introduction in the lines of “I find their relationship interesting”, because who doesn’t?
Anyway I would love some snippets from before the game. The two of them growing up together, how their relationship changes with time, how it may change when Naoya realizes that Protagonist has a fragment of Abel inside of him, and how it changes when Naoya starts to implement his plan. I love the idea of intricacies of their relationship pre-game that may have influenced their later actions.
I don’t have exact idea of what I want. Just snippets from their life before the lockdown. I’m fine with both unrepentant cousin fluff and darker moments, like Naoya being his suffering self. So you are pretty free to set whatever tone you want for the story.
I don’t exactly ship the two of them, so no romance please. I won’t mind a little subtext, so don’t worry about any scenes that may sound ambiguous, dear writer. I just don’t wish for anything outright romantic.
