Last night was so much fun. I've realized that after a good enough amount of time on campus, real houses just seem so wonderful. I went with the Bible Study girls to Sarah's house in Chelsea, and we all cooked dinner together and ate. Her house was gorgeous, all Colonial-y, and just so put together. A big contrast from any of the houses that belong to students on campus! It was so good to be able to get away and cook a scrumtrellescent meal together (stuffed shells, salad, bread, and mint chocolate chip ice cream pie). It was really funny, when we all went into the dining room we stood behind our chairs, like we have to do at sit-down dinners until we say grace, and then we all laughed at each other for being such Cookies. We sang the MCB grace for kicks and then said a real grace (as opposed to a "spiritual song"). Sparkling grape juice made it festive, and it was just fun. We also played this "heart to heart" card game that basically just has conversation starters on cards, and one was "If you could have one last meal, what would it be?" Well I decided mine would be less of a meal, more of a smorgasboard of whatever I could think of, and it would probably last...about a day. But everyone, including me, was like "I'd have steak or fish or chicken and salad and blah blah blah" til we got to Melanie, whose answer definitely won. "I'd have cheesecake and cookies and cupcakes and triple berry trifle and..." a whole list of desserts ensued. Delicious! On my way out I noticed a refrigerator magnet that said "My life has a superb cast, but I can't figure out the plot." How true!!!!!!!
Also, I don't know why, but Rachel and I dubbed our upcoming weekend our "honeymoon." So I am so so so excited for our honeymoon, I want it to be Friday right now. Also, upon realizing I'll be home for prom, we decided I'll be her prom maid of honor...you know, help her get ready, carry her train, hold her bouquet, etc. We're really excited for when her date asks what I'm doing there and she says very blase, "You don't have a best man?"
