C-SPAN Smackdown
I just saw the most.... i dunno. Here's a quick rundown:
Molly Ivins, Bill O'Reilly and Al Franken at a Books Expo moderated by Pat Schroeder (who even when expressionless appears to be worried, constipated and stoned all at once). I came in in the middle of Franken bitching about rightwing assholes and the misdirection and lies they pass of as journalism, and O'Reilly getting obviously pissed off. Apparently this was supposed to be a light-spirited affair but O'Reilly and Franken damn near came to blows, Schroeder squinted and looked very much like a nervous housewife, and Ivins drawled on and on about how her name was not "Liberal" but "Molly Ivins."
I've seen debates and stuff before on C-Span. But i've never been afraid that one panelist might throttle another with a microphone chord. O'Reilly really needs to seek anger management.
