I'm soo sad I missed Emily over the Thanksgiving weekend. It really sucks when your best friends come in town and you only get to see them for about 5 minutes. But I'm really happy she was able to stop by my store to say hi. I just wish it wasn't the busiest shopping weekend..and that I had more time to talk.
Thanksgiving was nice. I ate lunch with Jonathan and his family this year instead of my family. We ended up just lounging around..taking naps.. and watching tv.. and then headed to a movie with my family. It was actually a relaxing, calm thanksgiving. Usually my holidays are so krazy with so many family gatherings and stuff.. but... it was actually pretty calm.
Things at work are great. The partners are great...the customers are great. Its just awesome. I really hope I get to keep the store.. We still aren't sure if the old manager will be coming back here after her leave of absence. Its looking more and more like she won't be coming back. (yay!) This month will be sooooo busy because of the holiday.. but it'll be a lot of fun. Kinda a krazy time for me to take over a store.. but.. this will be my third christmas with starbucks.. so... I think I can handle it.
Starbucks is giving bonuses to the employees (baristas and shifts supervisors) this year! Its sooo cool. They are giving $250 to partners that worked all last year, worked at least 10 hours a week, and had a "meets expectations" on their last review. That just rocks! They are doing this because the company did so well last year.. so.. they are giving some of it back to the partners. I'm just so excited for them...The email said over $30,000 partners will be able to get the bonus. Once again, that just rocks. I love this company.
My friend Jen, from Hacks Cross, made me a blanket for christmas! Its great! Its black and white and she tied the ends together to make it look all cool. I just love it. Its sooo warm too. Jen rocks.
Heidi and I had a graduation party for Nicholas the other week. It was for his graduation from high school..since we never had a party.. and we invited a bunch of the family members to come out to my parents house. It was lots of fun! Any gathering with my family is always entertaining. Highlights would be seeing my Italian family playing Dance, Dance Revolution.. it was great. Plus, Heidi and I bought Nicholas a XBOX.. and he absolutely LOVED it. It was soo great seeing the expression on his face.. he was so excited.
My little sister is now the president of the youth group at church... i might have already mentioned that...
uhm... thats about it.
:)
Happy late Thanksgiving!
