Figgy Pudding and Huggable Noctiluca

Dec 01, 2006 10:22

Time for a quickie -- screw not being productive.
I worked a nine hour straight without a break or taking lunch yesterday.

For any of you locals who actually enjoy the winter holidays -- Here's a suggestion for something to do tonight to launch a month of hot toddies and mistletoe.

Tonight at 6:15 p.m. in downtown Seattle, in Westlake Center, Ancora (the music group which has eaten up my Thursday nights for the past year) is competing in the Annual Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition.

Our group won "best choral group" last year and we hope to bring home the brass ring this year as well. There are going to be some 46 or so groups out tonight, so if you end up in the area and want to hear me sing very old xmas songs (some in different languages), I'll be standing in front of the Bank of America on the corner of Fourth and Pine. We'll be right across from the holiday carousel (for those of you who want to get your "horsey" on).

NO worries if you can't make it, but this usually ends up being a lot of fun and it's one of the few times you can catch our group for FREE.

In other news:

GiantMicROBES, one of the only companies that makes me want to lift the stuffed animal ban, has come out with:

drum roll

Noctiluca -- Yep! Sea Sparkles!!!
So cute!

For anyone privy to my overly-euphoric and near-obsessive fondness for diving in Sea Sparkle-filled waters, this might make a bit of sense. Yes, I'm three but I really want this stuffed animal. (And the algae and scum are pretty cute too!)

life aquatica, ancora
