this sounds incredibly guilt-trippy but i always really liked your birth name but i really like alex too! (obviously, i decided to keep the name when transitioning). it is a good gender neutral name, one of the things i liked about it is it CAN be used neutrally so it was helpful for me in real life... "damien" would automatically be male, "alexandria" female, but "alex" could be either and people already called me that. so it doesn't 'cause a bunch of dysphoria, made things easier on people who knew me, and plus i am genderqueer so that is nice too (although because of my identity i really am starting to see "damien" as total gender neutral. "casien", too, because it's based on "damien" and cas technically has no gender, being an angel and all.)
yes pretty much everyone online calls me damien! although now people are starting to call me casien/cas, too. i don't remember the last person online who called me "alex".
are you still using spivak pronouns or something else now?
i would like to be added. i hope i am going to be around - i am going to try. i love tumblr a lot but i'd like to be able to make private posts sometimes (but private so a select group of people can see it, not private where NO ONE can see it like tumblr). mostly i want to blahblah about some more personal stuff related to my kin identity that i sometimes fear posting about publicly because of mocking.
also it's nice to be able to leave a longer comment (tumblr used to have no limit on messages, then they set a limit ugh). i have been trying to comment a lot more, first on tumblr, now on here with fanfic. i haven't checked my friendslist yet though. i don't know what's going on in there... i'll probably just add you to the list of people i go to their blogs/journals separately.
the only thing lately is i seem to have a bad tendency to mass comment. like i went awhile without reading fanfiction on the destiel community and then tonight i read like 20 things in a row and commented on a lot of them all at once.
i'm trying a lot more to do things now and have been making a lot of changes to myself and my life. not being consumed with addiction helps. i know how important commenting is to you and i want to make you happy. i always have and that is something that has not changed.
(edit: another thing that also hasn't changed... me compulsively editing, usually things i would have noticed if i read over the damn thing before i posted.)
I used to moderately like it too, but it seems to be on EVERY new TV show like FORTY EIGHT TIMES and repetition like that drives me up the wall, so it had to go. (Interestingly enough, Alex is a more popular name and bothers me less. Probably because it's one I chose.)
The pronoun set I like has actually been accredited to Christine Elverson , so I'm referring to them as Elverson pronouns now, although the set is the same. (Ey/em/eir.)
All right, I'll add you to the filter that has most of my recent posts. Tbh, I'm quite surprised you've posted as much as you have publicly to Tumblr. I would have thought you would have preferred LJ's way of friends-locking and filtering. (I'm not talking about the otherkin stuff either--just stuff about your past and your experiences.)
I have no problem at all with mass-commenting--in fact, if a person comments on a post days after it's made, it's not like "ugh crap this post is over why are people still caring" it's more like "oh awesome, this post is old but someone still wanted to say something <3". Any comments ever show a person is paying attention and caring. Commenting is important, but it's more that I know for sure that someone is keeping up on what's going on in my life and interested/giving a crap. (Commenting is just the easiest way to do that, I think.)
ALLLLLLLL THE EDITS!!
edit: AND AND (lol I swear I'm not doing this to piss you off, I just thought of something else) I also wanted to let you know that email is the best way to reach me now, as I'm rarely on AIM anymore, and I get the email on my phone so I can check it/reply just about any time. And that you can email me anytime about anything.
