Denver has been crazy, so far.

I've participated in a number of rallies and direct actions, most of which have ended in confrontation with the now 3,000 strong, $50 million federally-funded Denver Police Department(read: near-miss clubbings and ill-aimed pepper-spray bullets).
I almost got arrested Monday, along with a group of about 200 people.
Keyword: almost.
I've managed to avoid arrest so far, and the DNC is almost over.

The cops are brutal here. Notoriously brutal.
This entire city is under martial law; you can't spit without hitting a cop (not that one should aim elsewhere).

Today I marched with 10,000 people to the Pepsi Center (where the DNC is being held) alongside the IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against the War).
We converged upon the Pepsi Center with the intention of delivering a letter demanding the immediate withdrawal of the soldiers in Iraq, as well as complete care and benefits for returning G.I.s, to Obama.
After hours of negotiating with over 700 riot pigs watching, waiting, and flexing their trigger fingers, a veteran representative got to meet with an Obama liaison to arrange a meeting between the two groups.
We'll see if they actually keep their promise.

St. Paul/RNC is next, and I'm fucking pumped.
I've never been dirtier, happier, or more excited to be alive than I am right now.
Solidarity.
