So if you guys have never had an oatmeal smoothie, they are so freaking good. I'd never heard of them before but I had the idea a few weeks ago...then I looked it up on Google and saw some recipes. You can pretty much add quick-cooking oats to any smoothie recipe that you use, and just up the liquids to compensate. I use a bunch of defrosted blueberries, a cup of plain yogurt, a little bit of milk and cream to make it more liquid-y, sugar to taste, and between half to two-thirds of a cup of oats. It makes the smoothie about three times more filling and actually fills me up for breakfast (which means if you halve the ingredients it would probably be enough for someone with an average appetite). I can't wait until the winter when the berries come into season.
