Details. Seriously.

So I woke up the other morning and just laid there in bed, really not wanting to do anything. I just wanted to get the fuck out and do something different. Work was stressing me out like crazy and I was (and still am) convinced that I don't make nearly enough for what I do. That figure (nearly enough) is based on comparitive jobs, not necessarily on the actual work involved, but that's how life works. There are a ton of reasons why I deserve it, but it is, as everyone already knows, just money. On the other hand, I really don't like this city. While recently it's kind of grown on me (like a boil or a cyst grows on you) I still want out (or it off). So as I contemplated a possible new life, I was struggling with my responsibilities for work. I couldn't just leave them in the lurch; I know how much I'm depended upon to perform duties. It would pretty much fuck a bunch of shit up if I stopped showing up. I devised a plan: I want a bunch more money for what I do, but I also want out of the state. So, I ask for, say, $50,000/year and they tell me no, then I'll just leave and move somewhere like portland. It was a win/win situation. What happened, you ask? My manager was gone pretty much the entire day. When I did get to speak with her, it was about a project that had been primarily stressing me out and a lot of the attached issues had been addressed and dissolved. As a result, I'm still working there, but I don't really have a lease, so I can leave whenever (and wherever) I want within the next couple of months.

This doesn't really pertain to my previous post, but this one does have more details. So there.
