I called in sick.

Then Jackie called and asked, "Want to play a show tonight?"

A band had dropped out. The show was with Hot Like (a) Robot, Brown Eyed Deception, and some other acts. A band had dropped out and she needed us to open at 7:30. It was 6:00. I called Billy and we were good. I called Jessica and left urgent messages on her voicemail. My guitar string was broken and I had no replacements. So I used Jackie's acoustic with the punk rock! strap.

Oh, it went fantastic.

Jessica came half way through our set and when she sang, I knew that we were doing so well.

After the Thank you. We're Lover Parade. Thanks. Some guy came up to me and said something like, "You guys are awesome." And that made it all worth it. It made everything with the strained vocal chords and blistered finger tips and frustrated lyrical sheets seem all right.

Oh, wow. That was exciting.

Our second show, and I was wearing the same thing as my first show. Except, it was a different colored collared shirt this time.
