I have been a busy bee! Kind of...

I quit working in September, not because I really wanted to - no wait, I did really want to but not under those circumstances. We're undergoing IVF (in-vitro fertilization) procedures and they are totally unpredictable! My doctor may call me on Tuesday to say that I'm having some procedure, or perhaps surgery, on Wednesday or Thursday and that I will need to take that day off of work, plus the next day for recovery or whatever. No employer wants to hear that you're going to take two days off and you're only able to give them a day or two notice. So, I stopped working. Now, I am a stay-at-home woman. I cook. I clean. I play Wii. My life is full of excitement. Haha!

Oh, we got a Wii! It is constructed entirely of awesome and addiction. I'm not sure how the Nintendo people did it, but they did. We got the Wii Fit to go with it and it, too, rocks. Some days it tells me I'm an old, old woman and then some days it tells me I'm a young chickie! Either way, I'm doing pretty good on it. However, the regular Wii games, particularly Wii Sports, has me tired out and a bit sore. Who knew playing video games could make a person so active? The Wii was a present to each other since we had decided to NOT spend the money this year and therefore, NOT buy presents for each other. Yeah well, toys are always necessary in the Anderson household.

I'm back in belly dance class. I have changed teachers, this time taking from the renowned Piper! She's great! Piper has been dancing for something like, 30 or 40 years, her mother is a world renowned belly dancer and passed it on to Piper and her sister Melina. Piper is skilled in many styles of dance and teaches with a focus on technique, which is why I sought her out. Even though I have been performing for large audiences for a few years now, I decided it was time to get back to the basics. So I have taken a break from performing and I'm back in class and studying. I love it! I just completed level 1 and I'm excited to start with her in level 2 in January. I'll also be taking Piper's level 1 certification test in February or March, whenever she opens up the testing schedule. I'm excited and nervous about that but I have time to prepare.

That's it for now. I hope you're all done with your holiday shopping and decorating and you're enjoying this wondrous season!
