Commonwealth Lake Loop
Last week Lisa's choice was Commonwealth Lake Loop. I thought it would be longer, but found out once I returned home that we were supposed to combine the loop around the lake with nearby Foothills Park for the 1.7 miles. Our walk was about half that the way we did it. :(
The first part of the park was a playground/picnic area with lots of kiddos. Both pups managed okay as no one approached us. The walkway was reasonably trafficked with joggers, walkers and a few leashed dogs. The man-made lake was GREEN with algae so the dogs weren't allowed too close, but there were a ton of fun enclosed piers for sitting and viewing the area.
There were lots of empty picnic places available as well.
Tons of dragonflies, ducks, geese, frogs, butterflies and some cute bird that sounded like they were laughing!
