PAC trial in Ridgefield

Jul 11, 2016 20:02

Highs and lows this weekend! First of all, we qualified ALL of our premiere runs! One was pretty easy, one was challenging and two were impossible with low Q rates - and we got them! It wasn't all that pretty... but that just means it's easy to spot the cleanup work ahead, right? I can easily point to all the spots I wish looked different and with coaching, I'm sure I can solve those areas too.

We name all of Tashi's toys and he usually knows what their names are. We got a toy at last year's trial that was hard to name... triangle toy with American flag theme and a rope knot on one end and a handle on the other. What in God's name do you call that? It actually is one of his favorite toys and since he chooses it to play with so often, I call it the "Famous Toy" and that's its name. Tashi is so gentle and kind with his toys. Although he loves to gut the stuffing out, he generally isn't very rough with them when he plays. I'm sure New Dog will destroy his whole toy box in an afternoon!

So I imagine Tashi's favorite part of this weekend was receiving a NEW Famous Toy (we're still keeping the old one too though).

I love it when judges have this info out:

Our misses this weekend include a simple line in Std I failed to run well, a jump in jumpers I didn't indicate well when I got momentarily confused.... and a tunnel I think I indicated pretty strongly, but he still took the wrong side. Oh well, it's fun to play the game and we got all the rest, some were pretty amazing.

On to the bad.

Tashi started limping after finishing his last course. So scary. Little was sweet to take time to see him and felt he was quite painful in his neck, groin and left toe. She used her "activator" tool to help adjust him and we'll be seeing Dr. Bianca Shaw tomorrow to determine where we are and how to move forward. I've contacted Jani and Tammy and we're just waiting for more information.

I suppose there never is a good time to get pulled from all we have planned, but it will happen to all of us eventually. The year I had to take off for the TPLO was painful, and I really hope we're not looking at anything that serious again.

In the meantime, I still have my sweet boy who loves me, and in the end, that's all that really matters.
