::yanks shirt down in annoyance, taking a look back at lieutenantkim before heading through doors into Enterprise's medical bay::

::takes a slightly longer look, digging a heel into one of his feet::

Harry, finish waking up! And take that silly mask off. You'll run into something and poke an eye out, and then I'll have to fix that too. Good heavens, I'm just ( Read more... )

::yanks sleep mask off, glaring at the back of her head::

You weren't the one trying to sleep, I was, and if you had actually given me a few seconds to orient myself instead of dragging me out of bed and down the corridor for no reason I can think of...

::gives up on effort to shove the mask into a pocket, staring down in groggy frustration::

::groans...yeah, barefoot and in pajamas wandering around the NX-Enterprise, just the impression to make::

It would have taken considerably longer than a few seconds, you sleep like an unnecessarily dense rock, Harry. That's probably why you didn't hear the com, or your son on the other end, on the verge of agnonized tears.

::nods to Nightnurse in passing, following apparently somewhat muted complaints::

If you're going to insult me, I'll just turn around and go back to bed.

::shakes head in effort to clear last tendrils of fuzziness, going back over her remark::

::draws to a halt, digging cold heels in::

You woke me up for that? Come on, Linnis! Naomi probably hugged him or something, for...

::pries a couple of fingers away from right side of face, staring resentfully at lieutenantkim::

I used to like you, you know.

::straightens on biobed, waving free hand in outrage to where other companion stands silently::

And it wasn't Naomi, though I think she's getting mad enough to try something like this, maybe I'd better...

::shudders, focusing again on immediate woe::

It was her.

::rolls eyes, trailing linnisparis to office as Nightnurse goes back to whatever it was she was pretending to do::

I didn't hit him that hard, he's a baby.

And it's not like I asked for his help, I was doing just great on my own, but no, he had to come along and screw everything up just because he was boored or something...

::shuts door once younger companion is within, turning to face her and propping against it::

::folds own arms again, lifting a brow::

Points.

You have no business conducting experiements of any kind at this hour unless they involve sleep.

You never ask anyone for help, you're a bit of a loner, and far too much like your mother...and Seven...in that regard.

And lastly, but certainly not leastly...you're underestimating him. He still feels very guilty about what happened with the Borg, even though that too was technically your fault. He's reaching out.

Well...he can reach out to someone else. Naomi, maybe. She's all warm and sappy.

::flops down into nearby chair, staring at the bulkhead opposite::

I don't care about what happened with the Borg. Maybe I liked it.

::moves, perching on edge of desk, only inches away::

Maybe you did.

And maybe you just want to convince yourself of it.

I doubt you have very many memories of being link to the Collective, however tenuously...Seven shielded you from that, didn't she?
