[Jody glances down at her now black and blue hand.] I may or may not have been tryin' to replace part of a transporter console all by my lonesome.

[ He says pulling out the items he'll need to patch her up.]

Well, Doc, because I'm transporter chief. The ensigns that have been so graciously bestowed upon me are more barney than they're worth, so I do it myself. [She smiles. You would think that her hand wasn't broken and she was just having a fine chat over tea.]

[ Yep he is just going to roll his eyes and hypo her. ] That's for the swelling. [ He says taking her hand in his.] This part is going to hurt so take a deep breath, and you know if you don't let them help you then they are never gonna learn anything.

One. Two. [ he doesn't wait for three, he sets the hand and gives her another hypo for the pain and straps a Re-Gen unit on to her hand.]

two hours under that and you'll be fine.

Um...the how really isn't that important. [Except she's kind of freaked out over the whole injuring her hand thing, which is obvious by the wide-eyed looks she occasionally gives him.] Is it?

[ Takes the hand grumbling looking at it for a moment before he runs a tricorder around it and checking the read outs. ]

I have to set it, this will hurt. Take a deep breath.

[She nods and does as he says. After he's fixed her hand, maybe she'll tell him how it happened, but right now making sure it heals correctly concerns her more than explaining how she'd lost her temper.]

Another cadet suggested I study anatomy with him, starting with his... so my fist accidentally found his nose.

[ He just blinks a few times and nods. ] Damn it just be more careful. [ He says rolling his eyes and picking up her hand and scanning it with a tri-corder.]
