That's my point. *chuckles* The success of giving flowers as a gift has everything to do with execution. Find the right color, the right scent, and put in the proper amount of thought and your gift has become meaningful. Giving flowers for the sake of giving flowers will only prove that there was no thought put into it.

And would I be wrong to guess that much of this excitement had to do with who gave you this rose?

Some of it did, but mostly it was because it was one of the first gifts I'd ever gotten.

It's a good gift, for your first one. Women need other pretty things to keep them company, I think.
