Candidacy Review
I am a wreck right now. We finally got official information for Candidacy Review on Monday/Tuesday and received the applications last night. This is due Monday night!
I am making myself sick with worry. Most of the professors say not to worry about it, but they don't understand how I feel. I have so much riding on my getting into this program.
The application is unclear about the paper we have to write and the actual review process. On top of that, it's very poorly designed. It looks clever to the untrained eye, but there is almost no hierarchy so you're not sure what to read first on the pages. Somehow that makes it worse.
There's a workshop on Friday where the professors will go over what you have and tell you what to submit. I'm nervous as hell because I haven't met a lot of the professors at the workshop and, because I'm a transfer student, I don't have the same kinds of work as everyone else.
I'm on my last ounce of sanity.
