Sad News
Trying to get the word out about this, and discovering I have so many friends in so many places has been one of the few bright spots of the last 24 hours.
Yesterday morning, about 24 hours ago, my mother passed away suddenly. The family is in complete shock, and will be for some time. Mom had a heart condition, but she was probably in the best shape of her life. All her recent doctor visits had been good, her stress test was clean, and so was her mammogram.
At best, I can say I'm numb, but I think I left hysterical behind after crying so hard I threw up yesterday after we got home from the hospital. Of course, I still have to get though the viewings and funeral, so who knows.

After yesterday's crazy whirlwind of dealing with setting things up, neither of us had time to get online last night and post the details.
Dad and I wanted to get things wrapped up quickly. To say we're both still in shock is an understatement. Please do send energy to my Dad... this is roughest on him.
Anyway, the arrangements are as follows:
Mom (Patricia Mitchell) will be layed out at Gonce Funeral Home in Brooklyn (Baltimore). The address is 4001 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore MD 21225.
Their website is http://goncefuneralservice.com. Click the "Contact us" button for directions. Parking is around back, turn into the side street between the funeral home and the car dealer. They'll have signs in place to let you know what room we'll be in.
The viewings are today and Thursday, 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30am, and we should be at the cemetary around 10:30AM. Mom will be buried next to her parents, who I'm sure are very surprised to be seeing her so soon.
