From Ain't It Cool News:
"Regular readers of The Super-Exciting DVD Vault know Herc ends each by keeping tabs on pricing for all his favorite season-sets. Well, perseverance finally yields fruit. Just as Fox is about to begin repackaging and radically slashing the prices of its earliest “X-Files” season sets, so now has Paramount slashed the prices of its earliest-to-DVD “Star Trek” sets (to what I believe are all-time lows).
Last week, the first three seasons of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” were selling new for $125.99 per season. The first three seasons of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” were selling for $116.99. No longer. Here’s what the new season sets for these series cost now:
STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION
$55.99 The Complete First Season
$51.99 The Complete Second Season
$51.99 The Complete Third Season
$125.99 The Complete Fourth Season
$125.99 The Complete Fifth Season
$119.99 The Complete Sixth Season
$134.99 The Complete Seventh Season
STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE
$55.99 The Complete First Season
$62.99 The Complete Second Season
$62.99 The Complete Third Season
$116.99 The Complete Fourth Season
$116.99 The Complete Fifth Season
$116.99 The Complete Sixth Season
$116.99 The Complete Seventh Season
WARNING!! Longtime readers of this column - especially the ones who remember buying "Buffy" and "Friends" sets for less than $20 per season last year - know that TV-DVD pricing can be highly unstable. So if you or a Trekkie in your life has been craving this stuff, this might not be a terrible time to pull the trigger."
Um... HELL YES!
