"I will go down with this ship."

Thank God school is out. I have been in desperate need for a break for a long time now. Midterms went okay, methinks. The only iffy one was history. We'll see how that pans out.
I gave Amy, Phaedra, and Alanna their presents and Ashley her card. Amy seemed to like all of the stuff I gave her, and will hopefully be able to use her presents on her cruise. It's going to be so weird with her being gone for ten days. I'm so used to being able to call her up and we'll just talk about nonsense stuff. Like, last night I called her to wish her well in the Caribbean, or Carribean, or however you spell it, and we had an intellectual debate about whether I was Chandler or Ross. It's been settled. I'm Ross.
Alanna and I were three months on Wednesday. I went over to her house on Friday and gave her her presents. She liked them. Sam was there too, and I felt like Alanna and I were kind of ignoring Sam for a while there, but Sam didn't say anything. I felt a little bad, though. I'm going to miss Alanna too. Ski trips for Christmas. Actually, trips for Christmas in general seem to be a big thing. Personally, I'd rather stay home with family, but Amy, Alanna, and Ashley all sound they're going to have fun.
Dwayne and Bonnie flew down for the day. Dwayne is my biological grandfather and Bonnie is his wife. Long story short: Dwayne left my grandmother thirty-seven years ago for another woman while they lived in Lubbock. Dad has reconnected with him since then. Anyways, they flew down for the day to wish us Merry Christmas. They left a few hours ago, and Dad and Celia drove to the airport to pick up Celia's parents. They are flying in from Portugual and will be staying until the eighth of January. I've never met her parents, my future step-grandparents, but they sound like remarkable people. They lived through three African civil wars.
I wonder what it'll be like. My family is exploding in size. My mom's size is the same, but with Dad and Celia's togetherness and soon-to-be marriage, I'll be inheriting her parents, brother, sister, sister's family, and my own baby sister is due this month. Plus, there's talk of my uncle proposing to his girlfriend (whose name is, ironically, Amy), and if that happens, I get a new aunt and two new cousins.
Dad, Celia, and her parents (Manuel and Celia) should be home in an hour.
I have a phone call to make.
