*sits on the steps with her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hands*

Ok, so I'm really on the couch in my jacket and socks typing this on my sister's computer, but the image still works. I kinda feel like I lost my best friend, like I got left behind from the group and all I can do is wait for them to come back to get me.

The one thing that I use most in the world, my livelihood, the one thing that keeps me sane in a good way, has gone to heavenly pastures. No, my SR DVD is still kickin'. I'm talking about my computer. My screen is pretty much dead. There's only 1/12 of it (yes, I did the math, this is me after all) that you can even make out. Doesn't really help that it's the upper left hand corner. (The scattered colors are kinda pretty though.)
You can only move things so far to the left...

So, there goes my stories. I can't even get my sister's cd rom drive to open so I can read the copies I made.
*head thud* I was in the middle of something too! And I had just started to make a playlist for my party. *And* I was on level 12 of ZUMA!!

Fricken HP wanted me to get a new screen. For $750. That's as much as I paid for the whole dang computer. No thanks. Now I wish I'd gotten that accidental damage warranty. I've had it for two years. Go figure that 2 months after it expires...So I'm gonna try to get a new screen from a 3rd party site. I hope this works cuz God knows if it doesn't, Mr Hyde's gonna come out. Or Dr Jekyll. Whoever was worse.

Today's lesson: keep laptops away from the edge of the bed. Especially when you have wooden floors...
