Summery Sulu and Chekov discuss adjustments that are needed and are not needed after Chekov's experience during Star Trek II

Chekov kept still as Sulu placed enticingly light kisses along his collarbone until Chekov whimpered and arched up against his lover's mouth.

"Impatient," Sulu chuckled, his deep voice husky, betraying his own needs.

He pressed down against Chekov's shoulders, and Chekov smiled at him, tilting his head so more of his neck and throat were available. When Sulu took him up on the invitation, he began to tremble slightly and reached up to wrap his arms around his lover's chest. As Sulu worked his way up Chekov's jaw line, the Russian moaned encouragingly and thrust his hips up, hoping this time the over-protective man would not stop.

Chekov hoped in vein. When Sulu had almost reached Chekov's ear, he paused. Once, he would have teased Chekov mercilessly, nibbling along the Russian's ear until the poor man couldn't think of anything coherent in Russian let alone English. Now, however, Sulu stopped, kissed Chekov on the lips quickly and moved away.

At first, Chekov had been willing to write the change off as endearing, if annoying, over-protectiveness, but now the hesitancy was just annoying.

"Nel'zya " Chekov sighed pushing at Sulu's chest.

Sulu immediately stopped. "Did you just chide me?" he asked with a wide grin and troubled eyes.

"Close enough," Chekov mumbled, reaching out to take Sulu's hand in his. "You're just driving me crazy."

The Captain licked his lips slowly, "I know, that's what I was going for."

Chekov fixed him with a look that Sulu had long ago named his "scowling is a Russian inwention" look.

"Well if you recall, nipping at my ear tends to get me pretty crazy pretty fast," Chekov sighed pointedly, sitting up and crossing his arms for added affect.

Sulu met his lover's gaze, and he slid is hand around across Chekov's shoulder, resting it on the nape of the man's neck. He applied gentle pressure until Chekov had leaned forward enough that their foreheads touched.

"I don't want to remind you of . . . . of what you went through."

Chekov rested his hands on Sulu's back and kissed him gently. "But you do when you pull away. I know you mean well, but," Chekov paused a moment and chewed on his lower lip.
Sulu leaned in and kissed him. "But?" he whispered against Chekov's mouth.

"But you always used to kiss around my ears because, well because," Chekov paused and smiled remembering too very young officers fooling around beneath a table in the science department, "because, as you said, it gets me hot--"

"And bothered," Sulu finished, and Chekov wondered which time he was thinking of.

"But now you avoid my ear, both my ears actually, and I know why." Chekov frowned at Sulu. "So by changing how you act you remind of why there is a change which reminds of . . . of things
I'd rather not think about while trying to make love to you."

Sulu wrapped both arms around Chekov and pulled him into a fierce hug, "I just keep remembering how terrified you looked that first night, because of . . ."

"Not because of you," Chekov said fiercely. "Not because of you, Hikaru."

"Pasha . . ."

"Can you just," Chekov shrugged, "do as normal and trust me to tell you if it's bothering me? I certainly did now."

"What if I don't understand you?" Sulu asked as he ran his fingers through the dark hair on Chekov's chest. "What if you are telling me to stop, but I don't understand. You don't exactly speak English real well when you're 'hot and bothered." Sulu finished with a suggestive smile.

Chekov returned it, "I though that's what you were trying for. Fucking the English out of me, I believe you called it."

Sulu laughed loudly, "I can't believe you--" He laughed for a moment longer, then used the laughter as an excuse to collapse against his lover.

"That still doesn’t solve the problem." He gasped. "What if you are telling me to stop and I don't pick up on the Russian."

"You understood that night." Chekov pointed out.

"You're reaction was pretty universal," Sulu countered.

Chekov shrugged, "You know what Da means?"

"Yes."

"And you know what Nyet means?"

"Yes."

Chekov paused a moment then tipped Sulu back a little so he could see the other man's face better. "Sulu, you are right. If you think Nyet means 'yes' then we do have a potential problem."

Sulu smacked the back of Chekov's head.

Chekov countered and the security chief easily rolled the Captain over and onto of him.

"Trust me," he said looking up at Sulu.

Sulu nodded and bent to begin kissing Chekov again. Slowly and methodically, Sulu worked his way back up Chekov's body, leaving Chekov writhing and moaning happily beneath his lover, the serious conversation already fading from his mind. Sulu reached Chekov's jaw and began licking and kissing it until he reached the Chekov's ear.

The Russian felt a pair of teeth caress his earlobe, quickly joined by the flicker of a tongue. He flinched at the wetness so near as ear and took a deep breath, trying to shoo ghosts away. He felt Sulu pause and was on the verge of chiding his friend again when there was another lick at his ear. Again, he stiffened slightly, and this time Sulu's hand pressed gently against this chest.

"It's okay," he whispered into Chekov's ear. "It's okay Pasha, you're safe."

Chekov moaned a yes, not bothering to pay attention if it was Russian or English. He knew whichever language he spoke Hikaru Sulu would understand him.

-End

Author's Notes: I don't usually like using words in languages I don't know because I'm not sure I get the context right. I made an exception here because I liked the meaning of the word better than just 'no' or 'stop,' hopefully it's not horrifically wrong ^^;;
It means 'No you can't' or 'no, it's not permitted.'
