I feel slightly incoherent (in a good way!) after reading this, but I'll try to articulate my thoughts here.

I love Pavel's back story. So sad and so perfectly him. I always picture Pavel having, if not a perfect childhood, then a very, very happy childhood with loving parents, so when I read that your Pavel didn't have a particularly happy childhood, I didn't think it was going to feel at all believable, but it did. The child-Pavel you wrote seemed very much like he could have grown into the almost-adult Pavel I know ( ... )

I'm very glad that you could believe in the childhood I constructed for Pavel; I tried hard to think of some way to explain why Pavel might need a Daddy :D I'm glad you could see it to and were as happy for little Pavel as I was :)

I feel so dirty now, but I loved it. I loved how you went in depth and told us why Pavel needed it. Oh, and the detail about his patronymic? Loved that as well.

Hee, thank you! :) I read that about the patronymic in another fic (I can't recall which fic) and I thought it was an interesting detail and especially appropriate to this fic - another indication of Pavel needing his Daddy :D

I was pointed in the direction of this story by madeyemax, and man am I glad she did.

This story was gorgeous. I love love love Pavel's back story, and how in the end he finally gets what he really needed. So hot and amazing. Well done, indeed.

Whoah, that was scorching hot! This is my fave pairing from Star Trek and it's amazing, love the back story and McCoy's slightly wrong way of courting Pavel.

I have no words. Unf. I'm new to this fandom and madeyemax, who knows me so well, thought I would like this fic. Holy hell, was she right. I loved that scene in the turbolift where McCoy leans into Pavel's personal space. Ah, that was hot.
