SPREE!!!
Took a friend's indirect advice and decided that the best way to cure my ills was to blow a lot of money on fun stuff! We hit Bangkok Tokyo for dinner, and then Best Buy and Barnes and Noble tonight, each spending a mint, but it was worth it! :)
For starters, it's nice to have a paycheck again! $850 after taxes is so much better than what I was looking at before, and it makes me feel like a real person again to finally bring in an income once more. (We'll take care of responsible bills tomorrow;)
So, here's the first haul:
Jet Li's Fearless
Mortal Kombat (the awesome cheesy movie)
Braveheart
House Season One (If you haven't seen this show yet, then shame...SHAME!! ~tries in vain to find a suitable "SHAME!" image for posting purposes~)
Books:
Red Chrysanthemum by Laura Joh Rowland (I reiterate my SHAME! comment for any who have not yet partaken of the San Ichiro mystery series
The Pirates! in an Adventure with Communists (HIGHLY recommended! You'll have to check out the original, too, which I tried to find in vain. :( The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists)
So, that was a load of fun. :) Meli snagged a haul, too, and also picked up some Disney soundtracks, which had some of our favs on it. ^_^)
So now we're loaded up on goodies for this pay period. Discipline to follow.
