Reason for Stopping: End of Chapter

Notes: Phew! This chapter took a lot and no big booms happened, lol. But it was about a thing I've been thinking a lot about of late, namely forgiveness, and to be able to talk it through here has been medicinal. The thing about writing a story is that you can write characters further into an emotional progression than you are, which is why some characters can be veritable founts of wisdom while their authors remain as tragically flawed and ignorant as possible. But this did fill in a lot of what was hazy before, and I do imagine it'll be slimmed down considerably. These chapters are way too large and are likely to get chopped up when it's time for later draft-work. I'm happy with this count, too, because I took tomorrow off (from the book) to catch up on sleep and to indulge in a little after-work get-together. It's early in my time at the company and though I'm very much intent on simplifying my life and streamlining things while I add things like eventual gym-time and Arabic-lesson-time and get-better-at-my-job-time. Still, co-workers from several other offices were in attendance, and it was a reminder of just how young the company is, not young institutionally (though, in the grand scheme of things, it is certainly that), but young in terms of the personnel. We're all more or less age-mates, which is cool and refreshing, especially given what we get to do during our workdays. And I devoted yesterday to finishing All the Single Ladies, so that felt good. Review forthcoming. :)
