Last night's Breaking Bad? Now, THAT's what I'm talking about! I feel like Katt Williams in his Pimp Chronicles, Vol. 1 - "This shit right here? This shit right here? This shit right here?!" That first Skylar-Walt scene where Skylar acts like a writer-producer and Walt like a diva actor was priceless. That's the Breaking Bad I know and love. Comedy and tragedy in the very same beat so that I was laughing as my heart was breaking. Wow.
The ear thing? Grotesquely funny.
The Lab Notes segment, starting with that painful retro-cameo from Gale?! Wow. So much stuff going on there. Hank fighting his own feelings of usefulness. Two brothers-in-law trying to reach out to each other in their time of need. Walt going back to the script he'd thrown in Skylar's face during their "rehearsal," and Walt Jr. oblivious the whole time to the loss unfolding. Walt Whitman? Good save, Walt.
Then Walt forcing Jesse to relive the Gale murder, callously focused on covering his tracks and completely oblivious to the pain he's forcing Jesse through in those moments. It did seem pretty easy for Mike to convince Gus to finally pull the trigger, so to speak, but ending the episode how they did was pitch perfect.
And now
Kanye and Jay-Z's debut collaboration album is full-streaming?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Today is just too much.
Too much.
