Imao sam sreće.

It's funny, I almost feel more at home in Dubrovnik than I did in Hvar, and this place has got loads more tourists. There's a sort of cheeky charm to the city though. Incredibly Catholic, yet in decidedly Slavic way. I'm already falling for this place.

My apartment is beautiful, and upon entering, I had the distinct feeling of setting off on my own. I promptly bought some groceries, then set myself up so that when I woke up from a brief nap, I'd be ready for some research. Well, research turned into an Irish coffee at a cafe in the Old Town, a beer with my professor and the owner of a local restaurant, and two glasses of rakija with two visiting applied mathematics professors. Whoops.

I'll be here for about ten days and the research facilities at the IUC (Inter-University Center) are mine to take advantage of. Already, in the past few hours, I've managed a breakthrough with the official research, which is fabulous because it allows me some time to settle down and digest and points me in the perfect direction of where I need to go.

I have the distinct feeling that I'm going to be terribly proud of this paper when it gets written.

Now that this is started, I can get back to Masada in good conscience.

P.S. The boatride from Hvar to Dubrovnik was simply spectacular.
