Apartment living again: war on bugs!!! and lack of progress on the cooking front.
Okay, my apartment isn't invested with bugs or anything. But somehow I find seeing the odd silverfish in the apartment rather annoying. Okay not the odd one. One per a day or so. So, I think there must be quite a few as I've already stomped on so many. The inner neat freak in me rages when I see them, as I keep my apartment fairly clean, exactly to avoid such pests, But being in an old apartment, I don't know what the neighbors have stored. Silver fish does eat dandruff, which means it will always have a food supply anywhere people live.
On the cooking front, my skills have not improved. I'm currently at just above food poisoning and just below bland cooking. I also fall back to the 'deconstructed' approach to cooking. Which is to say Rice + meat + vegetable. I should really take some cooking class or something,Any one care to join me on the endeavor? Also, I should pick up some proper cook books, but I usual inclanation is not to read them. I already have two on the way from amazon, but they're the fancy sort with pretty pictures and presentation that make lemonade into a $1000 drink, the kind of cuisine that I can only mess, badly.
