Soak up the Slosh

Aug 26, 2007 00:09

I'm adjusting to my new station. They moved me away from the Proofreaders, and now I sit in the Retouching area. Amy moved with me too.. and now we're deskmates!

I got a bigger desk space , my own overhead cabinets - 2 of them! And they're magnetic! Now i'm thinking of all the devious ways to decorate it. Amy (our Studio Director/boss) already decorated hers. I have a tack wall too.

Sucky part is that my seat's right next to the door that connects the Studio to the rest of the world (Creative side/ kitchen/ everything else) Lots of traffic. Ehh.

I miss my window when I was in Proofreading :T

I thought I'd also add this to immortalize it:

Thursday night, my coworkers and I went out drinking. I didn't get a chance to eat, and downed 2 drinks in one and a half hour. I was still feeling quite fine, but it kicked in while we were leaving. I remember taking the 7 train with April and Robin... remembered almost missing my station... and then I had no idea how i got home from there. It is kinda scary. I figured maybe it's such routine that my body just went on autopilot.

Next morning, i got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast.

Danny comes in, and I told him that I had no idea how i got home.

Amy heard and said: I was wondering why you were having a bacon egg and cheese. I was thinking hmm, I've never seen her eat that before. Is it because you're hungover and need that to soak up what's still sloshing inside? You don't look hungover!

SLOSHING

Classic.

That being said, Amy was hungover too - she went out drinking with her sister.

Throughout the day Friday, we kept getting each other water.

Working with people like these just makes it the more harder to leave! (when I do plan on leaving)
