I came to this via a rec list somewhere. I don't know, I can't remember, and I don't care. Because I am far too full of feels.

This is absolutely fantastic. I love how you've fused it with the concept of The Time Traveller's Wife, but dealt with the problematic of Tony having extra things that need to travel with him - the arc reactor sprang to mind when I started reading, but the shrapnel, wow, I hadn't considered that and of course it would have stayed behind, and then the development of the suits and Tony's determination to control it <3 Steve is wonderful and the small touch of Pepper, spending her whole life 'watching Tony die', oh my heart, right in the feels. Linking it all together with Tony going back to that focal moment in his life, of finding out that he's a time traveller and Howard cracking, all of him always going there, and then eventually that resolution with him comforting himself... fantastic. And then, just when I think the loop is closed, Tony not only has resolved his past, his future, and his self, but as part of this he's calling this thing he does a superpower. OH TONY <3
