It's a magic mirror. (Rambling about RE2 Pt. uno)

Jun 02, 2010 01:43

I finally got the chance to buy Resident Evil 2!
I'm so happy.
I've been wanting to for so long.

I'm playing Leon's Scenario A right now.
So far, I love it, naturally, because I'm a huge faggot for classic RE. hurr hurr.

Probably the only thing I dislike about the game play is that when you draw your gun it doesn't automatically point to the enemy. So yeah I'm there turning my character meanwhile some licker is cutting my shit up, not cool. lol but you'd think I'd learn to point it myself after a while, no, it's a habit I can't seem to shake. Damn Code Veronica... makin' me lazy.

Random Musings:

One of the many things I love about the RE series are the campy little characters who are apparently good at everything from handling C4 to biology and chemistry. They can do it all!

But sometimes their little observations make me lol and facepalm at the same time.
I was in the interrogation room and I observed the two-way mirror and the caption read: "It's a magic mirror"
Seriously? I'm assuming both Leon's and Claire's observations are the same but c'mon. Leon, you're a police officer for Shiva's sake. Granted it's you're "First day on the force" but still, you should know what a two-way mirror is. It's like; "No way someone could have manufactured this mirror! It must be magic!"

On a side note; I love going around and just clicking the x button to see what they'll say about stuff xD but that was the most amusing thus far.

also; why is Leon the only cop who wears elbow pads and shit? Well,  guess if I went around calling objects magical I'd be doting goddamn bike wear too.

I find it funny how it mentions in the files you pick up how Raccoon City was completely blocked off from the outside world...yet Leon, Claire and some random truck driver just waltz right into the City limits. Not to mention Raccoon was already far into the days of infection and Leon *just* got assigned duty to the town. "Congratulations Leon Scott Kennedy you are now under employ of The Raccoon Police Department...Oh! By the way, zombies have taken over the the city...so...you might want to look out for that."
lmao.

Intense Nerdy Rambling ahead read at the cost of your own brain cells:

Quite frankly, the time line *still* confuses me slightly. Dx Some people say that RE2 and RE3 are occurring at the same time. Which is somewhat true but I still get confused..
Here's why:
In RE2 you can stumble upon a zombiefied Brad and then promptly shoot his undead ass.
But in RE3 Brad dies when Jill Enters the police station, which many of the doors have been boarded off as you observe the place.
However, in RE2 you can enter those doors.
Are they trying to say that some dude is going around boarding and then UN-boarding said doors? while Leon, Claire and Jill are running around no-less. D:
There is evidence that Leon/Claire were there before Jill. (E.g. The painting in the back the meeting room is burned, the Unicorn metal is in place.)
So, does this mean zombie Brad went back in time just to pester the newbie cop and the nineteen-year old motorcyclist?

The world may never know. Trying to make sense of RE's story is like trying to fuck a lion, you may get mauled to death.
....wait.
well whatever I try not to put so much stock into it. It takes away the magic of the gaming verse. These are just the things I think while I'm up playing them and not sleeping.

Sleep is for pussies.....and with that I end Part Uno.

Peace out brook trout. <3

no sleep, claire, rant, resident evil dos, rambling, leon
