Ai, haven't posted in ages! Not that anyone reads, but still...
Leaving on January 14th to spend the spring term studying in London! Yay! Five straight months of it, classes and culture both. I'm enrolled in a contemporary theatre course, so I get to go to lots of plays and write about them. I'm definitely looking forward to it!
Before that, of course, come finals. And the two essays I have to do. And the test I have early tomorrow morning. Blah! Last week of classes, so of course it's crunch time. I'm going to be busy as hell this coming week!
Watched the entire first season of Soap yesterday, and was greatly amused. It's, like, the bastard child of a sitcom and a soap opera! And you have to wonder just how dense Jessica can be. Curse them for cancelling the show early, despite the fact that the ratings were still good. We may only hope that the other seasons eventually make it onto DVD.
Lots of snow dumped on us, though it wasn't a true Nor'easter. With any sort of luck we'd get more tonight and classes would be cancelled, but I doubt it. Ah, well... I suppose I'll actually have to *gasp* do some work!
I've been cast as Prince Escalus for the Romeo & Juliet scenes we're doing for acting class. I HATE that play. As much as I love Shakespeare's work, I do NOT like R&J. It's a play about horny teenagers and sex. Honestly, I think my character is the only one without any sexual lines. To the extent that the scenes we're doing give me any lines. Bloody favouritism on the part of the professor, who gives the people she adores the best parts, and gives the people she hates crappy ones. ... On the plus side, I get to wear a formal gown, a big glittery tiara, and still call myself the prince.
"I'm just a prince right now, but one day I'll be a queen!" Ahem, yes...
Bought PotC, and absolutely love the bonus features! Especially Jack's continued improv scene with the rest of the pirates about the French. "Shame about the French, really... Obsessed with raisins, humiliated raisins, really. Terrific singers, the French... Eunuchs, all of them." Johnny Depp was brilliant, though I wish they had given Orlando some more stuff to work with.
Now Johnny/Orlando obsessed. It was bound to happen. *sigh* And no photo-manipulations or indeed any sort of fan art to be seen. *POUT*
