Cinema Report #24 - Walk of Shame

Well, this film certainly was more hilarious in a good way and more real in a frightening way than I would have thought possible.

If not for the fact that there was no other better movie playing, we probably would not have watched it, but I don't regret it. I'm no big fan of pointless comedy, yet this story certainly did tell a proper story.
I'm not saying that all supposedly good and “normal” people are crazy and unfair like shown here, but some of them certainly are, especially when they have their pre-shaped opinions and have set their minds on not listening / believing you. Likewise it would be foolish to believe that the drug-dealer you might run into turns out to be one with a good heart, even if he's a bit crazy. Yet there are people out there who are better than their reputation or they themselves want to make you believe and sometimes you just need to give them and yourself a chance to get to know them.

Of course, the heroine did a lot of stupid things, it was a comedy after all, but since she probably was still hung over from the previous night's party, she even had a good excuse. I've certainly seen films where the streak of bad luck starts and gets moved onwards much more randomly.
And then, of course, there is such a nice and even wise happy end. That even makes up for the more exaggerated characters that apparently need to be in every comedy and who still are more annoying than anybody needs.
