Sometimes,
it's very hard to see that the person you love most in the world is hurting you. I mean, they don't mean to. They love you.
Right?
But they are hurting you, all the same, they are leaving marks that can't be erased, they are turning your idealistic tenderness into cynical withdrawal. They are hurting you and they are changing you, and not for the better.
But they don't mean it. It's just how they are. They probably have the best intentions. In fact, I'm sure they do.
You know what they say about that road.
The major problem is that no matter what, whether they mean it or not, they are still The Problem.
How do you solve a problem you love so much?
How do you pull away from a well-intentioned perpetrator/victim?
How do you convince yourself that you're better off without, when the only person who's ever loved you is gone, and you are the one who made it so?
Sometimes, human reason falls a little short.
Sometimes, it's a no-win.
