i am a tree
tall above the rest
lucky to be so
as the rest have
gone somewhere

and from up here
i see orange clouds
above the western sky
and dark blue ones
the further south
i look

and the tall apartment
buildings scattered
throughout the city
contrast the natural beauty
of the landscape
as it was

and here i am
at two a.m.
reverting to
some deja vu
