The weekend...was pretty damn good
Friday I worked all day.
Saturday I worked all day. Then I went with a friend to a coffee house concert. The first two artists were pretty good. The last and main group just wasn't my type of music. I didn't know anyone there but it was nice to just sit back and listen to music. If anything I was supporting someone elses dream in a little way like I hope people support mine.
Sunday...I worked all day. Then I went over to Aunt Barbs for dinner and Uno. A massive storm hit and we lost power. Then we continued to sit in the dark and tell stories. Minus the fact that my mom got on my nerves everything was really nice.
Monday....AMAZING. I realized that lately I have been missing Jon way too much. And then I realized that I could sit back and be miserable or become proactive. I need to start taking control and changing things in my life to the way that I want/need them. So I decided to drive up to Peirce Cedar Creek for a short visit. I really enjoy the ride. It doesn't seem long at all and I love long car drives anyway. First Jon and I watered all of his sites. I took plenty of pictures. It was a pretty beautiful day minus the humidity. The wildlife perserve is amazing. Plus they cook amazing food as well which we had for lunch. Then after a long overdue cuddle session we made our way to Hastings. Jon showed me this cool little pawn shop were yes I managed to find additions to my weird crap collection. The greatest find though was a pair of dinosaur earrings. :) Then we watched Oceans 13 which I absolutely loved. Much better than the second. Mainly because Julia Roberts wasn't tainting it with her fat sausage lips and lack of true acting skills. After the movie we ate at our pizza place. I really wanted to try the fried pickles and they weren't as delicious has I had imagined. I had suddenly forgotten that I don't even life pickles all that much. Sadly, it was then time for me to make my way back to Valpo. I swear if I didn't have a job or an overbearing mother I would stay out there for the rest of summer.
So far this morning as been pretty good. I was quite proud of myself for getting out of bed and going for a run. I ran a good 5 times as far as usual before I thought I was going to pass out and die along side the road. This needs to become daily practice. I am not really looking forward to working at bestbuy. But I need the money and there really is nothing to complain about. I really do need to start getting all my affairs in order. August 25 is the day that I move out of my house! I really need this change and I am so excited.
Ready for summer to be over. Without ZooTeens and the one you love summer is useless.
