Terrorism 101

I hate how the media and government use that word so freely and so frequently. It's become a tool to steer thoughts in a certain direction. I wouldn't necessarily call these people "terrorists" either...they have their objectives and their believes (which, obviously and sadly, are NEVER recognized) and they choose to use "acts of terror" as a way ( Read more... )

well.... when you live inside a little american ticky tack box, go to work every day, come home after, every day, and drink beer and watch the tube.... it gets to be really easy to believe what they want you to..... or to gain some false sense of this stuff only happening inside your television.

Besides, people need a scapegoat.... always have.

I think, for the most part, that people dont really understand the magnitude of whats really happening.... and being told that "Its okay, these people are terrorists...." only enforces the safe sense of ignorance that runs rampent in this country....

I guess the answer, in my opinion, is that yes.... these people are ignorant to the tyranny that they live under.... but it is because, on some level, that they choose to be. More than 100,000 civilian deaths is hard to deal with when the blood is on your country's hands.... the press will try and ignore it.... the government will try to discount it, or justify it.... and in the end, not a single person you will meet today will be able to tell you how many innocent people have died over there.... because they dont know and they dont want to.

And, just for the record.... there is no count of "Terrorist Deaths"..... there are only soldiers and civilians......

1000 or so soldiers and 100,000 regular people...

To know is dangerous, and to believe gets you killed....
