Brooke Davis left the hospital and drove to the Jagielski House. She had never been exceptionally close with Jake even though they both had lived in Tree Hill forever. Jake grinned and continued making the stupid airplane noises for his daughter. He loved hearing her laugh again...after all those months without her giggle, he was certain he would never get tired of it. He zoomed the plane past her again, and kissed her on the nose as she clapped her hands happily.

"You've got a way with women, J. Jagielski." a familiar voice said from behind him and he spun around quickly to see Brooke standing in his doorway. She was wearing one of her million dollar smiles as she moved into the bedroom and Jake gave her an embarassed smile back ( ... )

Brooke looked at Jenny and remembered how at one point, she could have just as easily been a teenage parent. "She's getting so big" Brooke replied as Jenny showed her the plane. It was a shame, Brooke thought, poor Jenny had gone through so much in her young life. Mostly because of the horrible woman she had unluckily gotten for a mother.

"So, what's the story? Nicki gone for good?" She looked at Jake for a second, then turned back to Jenny. She hoped for both Jenny and Jake's sake he would say yes. She smiled at Jenny and tickled the bottom her little foot.

"She's getting so big."
Jake smiled down at his daughter. Even with everything that had happened, he still had his girl. And that comforted him, Brooke didn't have a Jenny though. She was going through a rough patch with two of her best friends...Suddenly her visit didn't seem so strange anymore. "Nicki isn't allowed withing 500 feet of her."
Brooke smiled as she watched Jake looking over his daughter as she played with her favorite doll. Brooke thought about all the problems he and Jenny had to go through because of Nicki. It was great that he finally had his little girl back.

"I'm really happy for you Jake," She smiled and turned to Jenny, "And you too!" Brooke said Jenny made her way onto Brooke's lap. This surprised Brooke, since she wasn't a big fan of kids and really didn't know how to react to them. Jenny gave her a big smile and Brooke laughed.

"Don't worry, it's just that, I've never really been around kids." She replied to Jake's apology. Jake watched Brooke and Jenny closely. Brooke was making funny faces and Jenny laughed. It surprised him to see how well they were getting along.

"You got really lucky Jake, Jenny is adorable." Brooke said lightly tapping Jenny's little nose.

"Don't worry, it's just that, I've never really been around kids."
"Well at least you won't have that problem anymore if you start hanging around me." He smiled as Jenny snuggled up against Brooke and the two played together.

"Yeah." He leaned over Brooke and placed a kiss on the top of Jenny's head. "I did get lucky." Jenny, still sitting in Brooke's lap, reached out and grabbed ahold of his hand. The three sat there for a moment together, the only sounds coming from Jenny's giggles.

Jenny picked up her doll again and began playing with it. The moment broken, Jake looked back up to the other girl in his room. "So how are you doing with everything Brooke? Are you ok?"

As soon as Jake asked her if she was okay, Brooke snapped out the quiet peaceful daze she was in. She remembered why she was there, because Peyton had asked her to check on him.

"Hun? Oh, yeah, I'm fine" She looked at him, he was watching Jenny as she giggled and played with her doll. She had never really seen this side of him. She always knew he was a great dad, Peyton had said it many times but, she had never been that close to Jake or Jenny before. She hated to bring up Peyton and Lucas but she knew she had to.

"How about you? Pretty rough situation." She gave him a sympathetic smile.
