Jet-lagged in Vienna, working at 4am on payments, tenders, quotes. Found out that we are the preferred tenderer for one contract, working with a Swiss supplier through their US subsidiary. Nice start to the day.
We flew with Austrian Airlines from Tokyo to Vienna which means that we didn't get the pirate wishing us a pleasant fright (which I always like) but we did get that first hint of OMG! gorgeous! breads and cakes for which Austria is justly famous. There was an interesting group of people on the flight, either rugby players or eastern-block mafia... I wasn't sure at first. I realise now how badly I missed doing nanowrimo this year because I spent half the flight making up stories about them.
There were six massive Vin Diesel types, these would be the actual rugby players (scenario 1) or the muscle / bodyguards / enforcers (scenario 2). The one with the shaved head and lots and lots and lots of tattoos would have had a special role in the story - probably speaking six languages and with a degree in psychology. There were two more quiet older guys. One of them would have been either the team physio (scenario 1) or the highly skilled and, um, creative accountant. The other guy was either the team manager or the senior lieutenant. The younger-but-not massive chap would be the fix-it guy, and the tall thin woman in the fur vest could be the deadly assassin... in either scenario :D
